I've written several biographies over the years (for resumes and such) and I've never known just what to include, what experience is seriously unimportant and what facts about my life my come off as being boastful. So please forgive me if I share aspects about my life that have absolutely no obvious bearing on your consideration of trusting me with your wedding day.
As a DJ and Master of Ceremonies - I've been making my living by playing records, then cd's and now audio files for more years than I care to remember. I started in night clubs and then transitioned into mobile events when I became weary of late nights and smokey clubs. Weddings have always been my passion among the events that mobile DJ's can focus on because of the 'people' factor. I thoroughly cherish being present when two people celebrate one of the greatest days of their lives.
As a father - Raising two sons has been a path of pride, frustration, compassion and oftentimes unabashed silliness. With both a teeneager and a 6 year old to 'manage' on a day to day basis I've acquired the ability to shift gears quickly. I can recite most any spongebob episode and can also speak fluently on parkour. I can make a hotdog with my eyes closed.
As a husband - This job, more than any other, has taught me about life. I have been married for 11 years (to the same woman, hehe) and still find that my best friend is just as much a separate individual as a person who is a part of me. I've learned that there are times when I simply cannot relate and other times when I can predict a dilemma and (in my man way) solve it before she realizes that her white knight has slain the dragon. There isn't a day that I am not very grateful that she said yes (although sometimes I need reminding).
Hope this helps. :)
